Equipment Rentals in Maxeys, GA
Maxeys isn't a place where every improvement should begin by changing the property. A lot of the value is already there.
The town traces its history to the 1800s, grew around the railroad and agriculture, and today includes older buildings being restored alongside the rural properties surrounding town. That creates equipment projects where the goal is often improvement without unnecessarily tearing everything up.
Cornerstone Equipment Rentals provides jobsite delivery to Maxeys and the surrounding Oglethorpe County area for excavation, property cleanup, driveway work, drainage, fencing, construction, and rural land projects.
Old Property Doesn't Mean Small Project
An older property can need surprisingly heavy work.
A deteriorated outbuilding may need cleanup. A driveway that's been repaired repeatedly may finally need substantial attention. Years of sediment can reduce a drainage ditch to almost nothing. Trees can fall in places where a pickup and chain aren't enough.
But established properties also come with constraints.
There may be mature trees you want to preserve, existing structures, fences, utilities, narrow entrances, and improvements that have been in place for decades.
That's where equipment selection matters.
Our JCB 85Z-1 excavator combines heavier excavation capability with a zero-tail-swing design. Its 36-inch toothed bucket and hydraulic thumb also allow the machine to dig and then grab logs, rocks, and other bulky material without requiring a separate machine for every task.
Restore the Drive Instead of Continually Patching It
A long gravel drive can slowly deteriorate until adding another load of gravel becomes an annual routine.
Before adding more material, look at the whole driveway.
Where are the low spots?
Where does gravel continually disappear?
Where does rainwater cross the drive?
Are the ditches actually carrying water?
If drainage is contributing to the damage, the excavator can handle the heavier ditch and excavation work first.
Then our Kubota SVL65-2 skid steer can take over the material work.
The 72-inch smooth bucket can move and redistribute aggregate, while the 72-inch toothed bucket provides more aggressive ground engagement when needed.
The objective is to repair the underlying problem instead of simply hiding it under another layer of stone.
Preserve the Trees. Remove the Problem.
Cleaning up a wooded property doesn't automatically mean clearing it.
Sometimes one tree has fallen.
Sometimes the woods edge has moved twenty feet into the usable property.
Sometimes storm debris has accumulated around an old fence or access lane.
Our 72-inch grapple bucket lets the skid steer grab brush and limbs so material can be removed selectively.
For larger logs, rocks, and heavier material, the excavator's hydraulic thumb provides substantially more handling capability.
That combination lets you clean around what you want to keep instead of treating the entire area like a clearing project.
Out Beyond Town, Maxeys Is Still Farm Country
Maxeys' history is closely tied to agriculture, and the surrounding Oglethorpe County landscape continues to include agricultural land, timberland, and rural property.
That changes the job.
Instead of maneuvering around an older home, you may be maintaining a field entrance, repairing a private road, cleaning a fence line, moving material around an agricultural building, or reopening access to a wooded section of property.
The equipment doesn't change.
How you use it does.
The skid steer becomes a material mover and attachment carrier. The excavator becomes a drainage, digging, and heavy-material machine.
That flexibility is useful when several rural-property jobs have accumulated at the same time.
Put the Fence Where You Actually Want It
Replacing an old fence provides an opportunity to correct problems rather than automatically following the same line.
Clean the area first.
Remove brush and fallen limbs with the grapple.
Decide where gates actually need to be.
Then use our skid steer auger for the repeated post-hole work.
Available bits include the 8-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch auger bit.
If suitable palletized or properly secured materials need to be carried along an accessible property, the 48-inch pallet forks give the skid steer another job.
Always have underground utilities properly located before augering, trenching, or excavating.
A Building Project Inside Maxeys Has an Extra Step
If you're building or remodeling inside the Maxeys city limits, don't wait until rental day to determine the permitting process.
The City of Maxeys says building plans are submitted to City Hall first. For a new structure, the city requires a printed plat and a scaled drawing showing the proposed structure, dimensions, setbacks, and existing structures. After city approval, an authorization letter is issued so the permit can then be obtained through Oglethorpe County, which handles the construction inspections.
Customers can review the city's current Maxeys Building and Zoning information before scheduling equipment.
For projects elsewhere in the county, Oglethorpe County Planning & Zoning provides county land-use, zoning, permit, and development information.
Don't Forget What Happens After Demolition or Cleanup
Taking something apart is usually faster than disposing of what's left.
The same applies to storm cleanup and property reclamation.
Once the excavator or grapple starts working, a pile that looked manageable can become a large amount of material very quickly.
Our 7×16 dump trailer has 4-foot sides, tandem axles, a 14,000-lb GVWR, and hydraulic dumping for appropriate hauling jobs.
Pairing the trailer with mechanically loaded equipment can turn cleanup and removal into part of the original project rather than something left for later.
Bring the Equipment to the Property
Cornerstone Equipment Rentals provides jobsite delivery to Maxeys and the surrounding Oglethorpe County area, subject to equipment and delivery availability.
For rural properties, tell us more than the street address.
Let us know about gates, narrow entrances, private roads, low limbs, steep grades, soft ground, or limited unloading space that could affect delivery.
That's especially important when delivering an approximately 18,000-pound excavator.
Improve the Property Without Starting Over
Whether you're working on an older Maxeys property or acreage outside town, sometimes the best project isn't the one that changes everything.
It's the one that fixes what isn't working while preserving what already is.
Repair the access. Correct the drainage. Clean the woods edge. Replace the fence. Prepare the new building site. Remove the debris.
